EMPOLI 10MG TAB

Empoli 10 mg contains empagliflozin, a drug used for managing type 2 diabetes.

It helps reduce high blood sugar by causing the kidneys to remove excess glucose via urine.

Usually taken once daily, with or without food.

It can also help reduce the risk of heart-related complications in people with diabetes.

Common side effects include increased urination, thirst, risk of urinary tract infections, genital yeast infections, and possible dizziness.

Rare but serious risks include dehydration, diabetic ketoacidosis, or kidney issues if there is preexisting kidney disease.

The dose may be escalated (e.g. from 10 mg to 25 mg) under a doctor’s supervision if more glycemic control is needed, and kidney function must be monitored.
