EMPAA L 5/25 28S

Empaa-L 5/25 is a combination oral tablet containing Empagliflozin 25 mg and Linagliptin 5 mg.

It is used for improving blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes, especially when one drug alone is insufficient.

Empagliflozin helps reduce blood sugar by increasing excretion of glucose via the kidneys.

Linagliptin enhances the effect of natural hormones that increase insulin release and reduce sugar release from the liver.

It is taken once daily, with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.

Potential side effects include urinary tract infections, genital fungal infections, increased urination, dizziness, and possible risk of hypoglycemia, particularly when taken with other glucose-lowering agents.

Regular monitoring of blood sugar, kidney function, hydration status, and adherence to diet/exercise are important while on this therapy.
