Crescor 10mg contains Rosuvastatin, a medicine from the group of drugs known as statins. It is prescribed to lower high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood and to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular complications. Rosuvastatin works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA reductase) in the liver that produces cholesterol, thereby reducing “bad cholesterol” (LDL, VLDL) and increasing “good cholesterol” (HDL).
