COMBIGAN 5ML DROPS

Active ingredients: Brimonidine tartrate 0.2% + Timolol maleate 0.5%.

What it does: Helps lower high pressure inside the eye by two mechanisms: (1) Brimonidine reduces production of fluid in the eye and increases its outflow; (2) Timolol reduces fluid production.

Use: Prescribed for glaucoma (especially open-angle glaucoma) and ocular hypertension (elevated intraocular pressure) to prevent damage to the optic nerve.

Dose: Usually one drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily, about 12 hours apart.

Common side effects: Eye irritation (burning, stinging), redness, itching, dry eyes, possible blurred vision temporarily after application.
