Clexane 40 mg Injection contains enoxaparin sodium, a blood thinner used to prevent and treat blood clots. It is commonly prescribed for:

Prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), especially after surgeries (e.g., hip/knee replacement, abdominal surgery).
Treatment of pulmonary embolism (PE) and DVT.
Prevention of clot formation in patients with unstable angina or heart attack (NSTEMI/STEMI).

It works by inhibiting clotting factors (Factor Xa and IIa), reducing the blood’s ability to form clots.
This injection is usually given subcutaneously (under the skin) once or twice daily, as directed by a doctor.
