Carbex Plus 120 mL Syrup is a dual-action cough medicine combining:

  • Carbocisteine — a mucolytic agent that makes thick mucus (phlegm) thinner and easier to expel from the airways.

  • Promethazine Hydrochloride (2.5 mg per 5 mL) — an antihistamine which helps relieve symptoms associated with cough from nasal drip, allergies, etc., perhaps also helping reduce cough reflex.
