Active Ingredients:
  • Betamethasone valerate 0.1% (a corticosteroid) — reduces inflammation, swelling, redness, itching.
  • Fusidic acid 2% (an antibiotic) — effective especially against Staphylococcus bacteria, prevents or treats bacterial skin infection.

Indications / Uses:
  Used for skin conditions that have both inflammation and bacterial infection or risk thereof, such as infected eczema or dermatitis, inflamed patches with secondary bacterial infection, and similar skin lesions.

Form / Pack Size: Cream; 15 grams tube.

How to Use:
  Apply a thin layer to affected skin (after cleaning/drying) once or twice daily, as prescribed. Usually treatment is not prolonged (often up to ~1-2 weeks) because prolonged use of steroids + antibiotics can lead to side effects.

Precautions / Side Effects:
  Possible local irritation, burning, or stinging; risk of skin thinning with prolonged steroid use; avoid on open wounds or large areas; avoid use if allergic to corticosteroids or fusidic acid
