Alosita-Met (50 mg / 1000 mg) is a fixed-dose combination tablet containing the two active ingredients Sitagliptin 50 mg + Metformin 1000 mg.

  • Metformin is a biguanide that lowers blood glucose by reducing glucose production in the liver and improving the sensitivity of body tissues to insulin.

  • Sitagliptin is a DPP-4 (dipeptidyl peptidase-4) inhibitor which works by increasing incretin hormones, thereby increasing insulin secretion in response to meals, reducing glucagon secretion, and helping to regulate post-meal blood sugar levels
