VIGAMOX EYE DROP 5ML is an ophthalmic solution containing the active ingredient moxifloxacin. It is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the eye, most commonly bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye). It works by stopping the growth of bacteria by inhibiting key enzymes necessary for their DNA replication and repair. This action kills the bacteria and helps to clear the infection. It is not effective for treating viral or fungal eye infections.
