ERLI PLUS XR 5/1000MG TAB

Erli Plus XR 5/1000 mg combines Empagliflozin 5 mg with Metformin (extended-release) 1000 mg.

It is used for managing type 2 diabetes, especially in patients who need both kidney-based and liver/insulin sensitivity effects.

The XR (extended-release) metformin allows slower release, which helps reduce gastrointestinal side-effects.

Empagliflozin helps lower blood sugar by increasing the amount of glucose excreted through the kidneys.

Usually taken once daily, often with food to improve tolerability.

Possible side effects include nausea, diarrhea, urinary tract or genital infections, increased urination, dizziness, and risk of dehydration.

Monitoring kidney function, hydration, blood sugar levels is important; and it’s not suitable for type 1 diabetes or in severe kidney impairment.
