Sitaglu Met XR Tablet is a combination antidiabetic medication containing:

• Sitagliptin 50 mg – a DPP-4 inhibitor that enhances insulin secretion and suppresses glucagon, helping to reduce blood sugar.

• Metformin 500 mg (extended-release) – a biguanide that lowers hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity.

This combination is designed for better glycemic control in type 2 diabetes mellitus when monotherapy is insufficient.
