DIFLUCAN 50MG CAP

Diflucan 50 mg contains Fluconazole, a triazole antifungal.

Used to treat and prevent fungal infections such as candidiasis (oral, vaginal, systemic) and cryptococcal meningitis.

Works by inhibiting fungal cell membrane formation, stopping the growth of fungi.

Can be prescribed for immunocompromised patients (e.g., HIV/AIDS, chemotherapy, or transplant patients) to prevent fungal infections.

Taken orally, usually once daily; dosage depends on type and severity of infection.

Side effects may include headache, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, or skin rash.

Should be used with caution in patients with liver disease or those taking interacting medications.
