Klaricid DS (Double Strength) Suspension contains Clarithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections in children. It works by stopping bacterial protein synthesis, preventing growth and spread of infection. The DS formulation provides a higher concentration, allowing for a lower volume of medicine to be given to children, which improves convenience and compliance.

Uses:

  • Respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, bronchitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis)

  • Ear infections (otitis media)

  • Skin and soft tissue infections

  • Part of H. pylori eradication therapy (in older children when prescribed)

  • Other bacterial infections sensitive to Clarithromycin
