ERLI PLUS XR 25/1000MG TAB

Erli Plus XR 25/1000 mg is a fixed-dose combination tablet containing empagliflozin 25 mg and metformin 1000 mg (extended release).

It is used for treating type 2 diabetes mellitus to help lower elevated blood sugar levels.

Empagliflozin increases glucose excretion via the kidneys; metformin decreases liver glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity.

The “XR” (extended release) formulation allows the metformin component to be released slowly over time, reducing gastrointestinal side effects.

Typically taken once daily, with or after food to minimize stomach upset.

Possible side effects include gastrointestinal issues (gas, nausea, diarrhea), urinary tract or genital infections, frequent urination, dehydration, dizziness, and risk of hypoglycemia especially if used with other glucose-lowering drugs.

Monitoring of kidney function, hydration status, and regular blood sugar checks is important during therapy.
