Daonil contains Glibenclamide (also called Glyburide), an oral antidiabetic medicine from the sulfonylurea class. It is prescribed for the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus when diet and exercise alone are not enough to control blood sugar. Glibenclamide works by stimulating the pancreas to release more insulin, which helps lower blood glucose levels. It is usually taken with meals to reduce the risk of low blood sugar.
