Active ingredient: Disodium hydrogen citrate (1.53 g per 5 mL) syrup.

What it does: It increases (alkalinizes) the pH of urine, making the urine less acidic. This helps in treating or preventing certain types of kidney stones, urinary tract conditions (like cystitis, urethritis, pyelitis), aids antibiotic effectiveness for some UTIs, and helps reduce discomfort during urination.

How it’s used: Taken orally, often mixed with water or milk; the dose varies by age. Adults often take ~30 mL four times a day; children doses are lower (10-15 mL, 3-4 times daily) depending on their age.
