AVANEP 5ML EYE DROPS

Avanep Eye Drops (Nepafenac 0.1% w/v) are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory ophthalmic drops used primarily to relieve pain, redness, swelling, and irritation after eye surgery (such as cataract surgery).

Key points:

• Active ingredient: Nepafenac 0.1%

• Helps prevent or reduce risk of macular edema (swelling in back of the eye) in diabetic patients following cataract surgery.

• Provides analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the eye.

Usage / Important Instructions:

• Usually prescribed 1 drop 3 times a day in the affected eye(s), starting around surgery and continued for a specified postoperative period (often for 1–2 weeks) or as directed by ophthalmologist.

• Wash hands before application; avoid touching dropper tip to the eye.

• Remove contact lenses before using drops. Wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.

Common Side-Effects:

• Blurred or changed vision temporarily after instillation.

• Foreign body sensation, eye irritation, discomfort.

• Increased intraocular pressure in some cases
