Sita Met XR Tablet is a combination antidiabetic medication containing:

  • Sitagliptin 100 mg – a DPP-4 inhibitor that increases insulin release and decreases glucagon levels, helping to lower blood glucose.

  • Metformin 1000 mg (extended-release) – a biguanide that reduces hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity.

This combination is used for better glycemic control in type 2 diabetes mellitus when monotherapy is insufficient.

Uses:

  • Type 2 diabetes mellitus (when diet, exercise, and single-agent therapy are inadequate)

  • Helps control fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels
