TIBOL 2.5MG TAB is a medication containing the active ingredient tibolone, which is also sold under the brand name LIVIAL. It is a synthetic steroid hormone used as a type of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for postmenopausal women. Tibolone works by having a selective effect on different tissues in the body, mimicking the activity of female hormones (estrogen and progesterone) and also having some male hormone (androgen) effects. It is primarily used for the relief of menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness, as well as for the prevention of osteoporosis (bone loss) in postmenopausal women at high risk of fractures.
