Am-Telsan 10/80 mg Tablet is a fixed-dose combination medication containing Amlodipine 10 mg + Telmisartan 80 mg.

Mechanism & Use:

  • Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB) that relaxes blood vessels by blocking calcium influx into vascular smooth muscle. This causes vasodilation and reduces peripheral resistance.

  • Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that inhibits the action of angiotensin II at AT₁ receptors, thereby preventing vasoconstriction and reducing aldosterone-mediated fluid retention
